Lets Get Going
OK, you want to get your website going, and probably ASAP.
There are a few bits of information I need to start:
- A cheque payable to G Sinclair, for the registration of your domain name, website hosting for two years, includes a small setting up charge.
- Name and address and postcode to be used for the registration. This might be different to the name and address used on the website.
- The chosen domain name, if you have thought of one, if not we can ensure you have the right one very quickly.
- Land line phone and mobile phone numbers for my use and to use on the website.
- A few sentences that describes what your business is all about.
- 3 or 4 bullet points that describe the essence of your business.
- Links to 3 or 4 website with the look and feel you want on your website; these sites are used as a reference point, not copied.
- All text and pictures should be sent by email or other digital means.
You get a Single Page Temporary Website almost immediately
The purchase and registration of your domain name and hosting takes about 24 hours to process. During that time a temporary single page website with your contact and business details is designed ready to be uploaded so you have a web presence straight away. It may not be the same as the final design, but it will be a good looking site and you get a web presence very quickly. It is also registered with Google and other search engines, this will get you listed with them quickly and will start you journey through the listing process.
It also means you can start straight away to distribute your email address and website name. Get them on your business cars and other stationery.
